What is SPARK?
SPARK is an AI-powered NEC compliance app for electrical apprentices and foremen. Apprentices snap a photo of their electrical work, the AI checks it against the 2023 NEC, and returns a Pass/Fail verdict with cited code sections. Foremen review apprentice submissions from anywhere.
Which NEC edition does SPARK use?
SPARK is built on the 2023 National Electrical Code (NEC). Every verdict cites the exact articles, sections, and tables the AI referenced — 17 articles, 535 sections, and 40 tables are indexed.
Is SPARK available on iOS and Android?
SPARK is live on the iOS App Store. The Android version is currently in closed beta on the Play Store — sign up via the waitlist on this page to get a Play Store invite.
How long does an inspection take?
About twelve seconds from photo to verdict. SPARK runs a two-pass AI pipeline — first it identifies what's in the photo, then it retrieves the relevant NEC sections and streams back a full inspection report.
Can SPARK replace a licensed electrical inspector?
No. SPARK is a learning and self-check tool for apprentices and a review tool for foremen — it does not replace a licensed inspector or AHJ approval. Always defer to your jurisdiction's official inspection process.
How does SPARK handle photos of my work?
Photos are sent securely to SPARK's backend for AI analysis. They are stored only to support foreman review and your own inspection history, and can be deleted at any time from the Settings screen.
